Abstrak

In 2024, Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) Province ranked among the top five regions in Indonesia with the highest poverty rates, making it a critical area of focus for poverty-related research. This study examines ten indicators across five key variables: poverty, housing facilities, health, education, and decent living standards. The unit of analysis includes all regencies and municipalities within NTT. The study employs Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) for analysis. Findings at a five percent significance level indicate that housing facilities factors—specifically access to adequate housing, improved drinking water, and sanitation—have a significant impact on poverty reduction in NTT. Among all variables, the housing facilities dimension demonstrates the strongest influence in alleviating poverty. Additionally, housing facilities factors significantly contribute to improvements in health, which in turn significantly reduce poverty. The study also finds that the decent living standard variable plays an important role in enhancing health outcomes. Overall, the model used in this research meets the criteria for a good fit, as confirmed by the goodness-of-fit index, indicating its suitability for analysis.
